How much does junk removal cost in Orlando?

The short answer

Junk removal in Orlando is priced one of two ways, and you are always quoted the cheaper of them.

Per item. Every item has a published flat price. A sofa is $126, a queen mattress is $103, a refrigerator is $164, a TV between 42 and 65 inches is $68.

By volume. For anything shapeless or room-sized, you pay for a fraction of the truck, from $241 for a quarter to $732 for a full one.

The floor under both is a $75 per-visit minimum. Nothing else is added: no stair fee, no distance charge, no fuel or toll surcharge, no same-day or weekend premium, and disposal is already inside the number.

The truck-fill ladder

To translate that into Orlando terms: a quarter truck is roughly a small bedroom or one corner of a garage. A half truck is a furnished one-bedroom or a single-car garage cleared out. A full truck is a packed two-car garage in Avalon Park, or the contents of a small house.

The per-item list

Where volume takes over from per-item

The crossover sits at roughly five pieces of furniture, and it is easy to see once you do the arithmetic.

Three items. Sofa, coffee table, two end tables: $126 + $67 + $52 + $52 = $297. A quarter truck is $241, so on that load the ladder is already lower and you would be quoted $241.

Five items. Sofa, queen mattress and box spring set, standard dresser, nightstand, metal bed frame: $126 + $143 + $126 + $57 + $68 = $520. That is roughly a half truck of space, priced at $431, so again the ladder wins.

Two items. A washer and a dryer: $133 + $128 = $261. Two appliances take up very little truck space — well under a quarter — so here the per-item price of $261 is what applies, because the quarter-truck rung at $241 would only be used if the load genuinely filled it.

What makes an Orlando job bigger or smaller

Not the price per item — that is fixed — but the volume you end up in.

• No basements. Slab construction means the garage is the storage room, so garage jobs here are consistently a rung or two higher than people guess.
• The lanai. Nearly every house has one, and nearly every one has rusted furniture on it. Include it in your photos or the quote will be short.
• The attic over the garage. Pull-down ladder, no flooring, and full of holiday decorations. People forget it exists until the crew is there.
• Second refrigerators. Hurricane-season chest freezers and beer fridges. A standard fridge is $164 and a chest freezer is $146.

What is included in every price

• Two people and a truck.
• Carry-out from wherever the item stands — third-floor walk-up off Curry Ford, back of a screened lanai, behind a car in the garage.
• Loading and transport.
• Disposal, with reuse routing where a local outlet takes the item.
• The estimate itself, which costs nothing and does not require a site visit.

What is not included: household hazardous waste such as paint, solvents, pool chemicals and pesticides; propane tanks; and fuel left in mowers or generators. Those go through your county's designated routes.

Why the price is the same in every neighborhood

Because distance is our cost, not yours. A sofa is $126 in Mills 50, in Thornton Park, in Apopka, in Sanford, in Kissimmee and out in Horizon West. There is no travel charge, no toll pass-through for the 408, 417 or 429, and no minimum-job difference between the urban core and the edge of the service area.

That matters in a metro this spread out. Orlando's built area runs forty-odd miles corner to corner, and a pricing model that charged by distance would quietly penalise everyone who does not live near the middle.

Getting your number

Photograph each item, or one wide shot per room including closets, the garage and the lanai. Send them. A flat price comes back, quoted at the lower of the per-item total and the volume rung, before anybody drives anywhere.

Book the window, pay when it is loaded. If the crew cannot remove something, you are not charged for the visit.
