What We Can’t Take
Some renovation materials need licensed abatement or special handling:
- Asbestos-containing materials
- Paint, solvents, and chemicals
- Lead-paint abatement waste
- Loose concrete in large volumes
Pre-1980s popcorn ceilings and floor tile can contain asbestos. If you’re unsure, have it tested before demolition.
Why It Goes to a Different Place
Orange County only accepts construction and demolition debris at its landfill on Young Pine Road on the east side; the Porter and McLeod Road transfer stations take household garbage only. We handle that routing, which is part of why debris is priced by the yard instead of per item.

Free storm pickup runs on the county’s schedule, not yours, and the temporary drop-off sites opened after Milton were closed to contractors and commercial haulers.

Will Orange County pick up construction debris?
No. The county’s weekly bulk collection excludes construction debris, and residents who haul it themselves must take it to the Orange County Landfill, the only county facility that accepts it.
Can you remove hurricane-damaged furniture and drywall?
Yes. Water-damaged furniture, carpet, drywall, and appliances are carried out and routed to the right facilities, usually within a day of your photos.
Do I need a dumpster instead?
For a big gut renovation spanning weeks, a roll-off can make sense. For a single room, a remodel’s leftovers, or storm cleanup, a one-time haul is faster and doesn’t leave a container on your driveway.
Can you take concrete or roofing?
Small amounts, yes. Large volumes of concrete or a full roof tear-off are better handled by a roll-off or a roofing contractor; send photos and we’ll tell you honestly.
