UCF opened on October 7, 1968, as Florida Technological University. Its Alafaya Trail campus now covers 1,415 acres, and with 70,674 students it is the largest university in the state.
Twelve-month leases running August to July mean nearly every off-campus bedroom changes hands in the same short stretch. The last week of July is when mattresses start showing up everywhere they shouldn’t.

Pick a Date Early
Choose a slot a few days before your inspection, not on the last morning. If your plans change, reschedule by text.
Frames Come Apart
Loft beds and metal frames are taken down on site. Leave the hardware where it is; the crew brings tools.

Can you take down a loft bed?
Yes. The crew disassembles it on site; a metal or platform frame is $68.
Do you pick up from on-campus housing?
Residence halls run their own move-out process, so check with campus housing first. Most of our pickups near UCF are from off-campus apartments and rental houses.
How soon can you come?
Often within a day or two outside peak week. For late July, book as early as you can.
